What's wrong with my tach ?
Hello,
I have a '75 coupe and was wondering what could be wrong with my tach.
When I'm doing 60Mph the tach shows 4200Rpm, I checked the rear end and there is still the original 3.08 in there and for all I know the original trans is under it.
When the ignition is off the rpm needle show's 1500 but when the ignition go's on it go's to 0, so this is all normall, but I believe the rpm is way too high for 60Mph No ??
What could be the problem ? The car has been doing that since I got it so... Circuit board bad ?

Could be a few things going on. What RPM are you showing at idle?
