Default Marking on tires?
I found it necessary to remove the spare tire tub assembly, and noticed white letters and numbers on the tread side of the spare. The spare seems never used as the nubs are still there. Did GM do anything like this to the tires?

G8492 appears 3 times ... A424 appears 4 times

I don't know that GM did it, but Goodyear or Firestone could have done it.

I'm pretty sure that is the tire manufacturer's marking on the tire.
