Default Arm rest pad

How does the arm rest pad on the door attach? I see you can buy replacements that have double sided tape. I have one in good shape but it's loose. Can I just pull it off and tape it down or is that screws involved? Thanks.

The tape loses strength after a while. Clean up the old tape and install new.

All of the door arm rest pads, are replacements. The factory panels never used the pads. They were created by the aftermarket, to cover cracked original panels.

I'm pretty sure they were always designed to be installed, using double sided tape. You should be able to just pull them off, but if the original panels are cracked underneath, you may break loose some of the old panel skin. If your going to try to remove them, I think I'd try using a putty knife and heat gun, and go slowly.
