Default heat barrier
I am replacing the ac evaporator on my 81. I think I read somewhere that you can paint the inside of the air box with some kind of paint to keep the heat out from the engine compartment. I think I need to do this while I have it apart. any suggestions!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks, nv

I have seen Lizard skin spray in heat/noise reduction system. Never used it but see it on Sat morning car shows all the time. Kinda like spray in duramat.

I used lizardskin on the undercarriage but not in the air box. Lots of lizardskin posts here if you search around.
