Default Newbie Lights Question

Can you guys tell me what the two innner lights should do at the rear of my C3? The center part of those two inner lights is clear/white plastic so I assume both are reversing lights, but should the outer red rings glow when the night lights are on?

Asking because they're not working period, and can't seem to see anything in the manuals (and because I'm a newb).

Those are backup lights. They do not light until the car is in reverse.

Ok thanks ... so the outer red rings should not light independently of the inner reverse lamps. Cheers.

That's correct, the red rings are only reflectors with no bulbs behind them.
