Default Any write up for checking the rearend?

I'm no mechanic but I'd got the cover off to change the fluid and read a few things that should be checked.

Is there some write up with pictures on what to look for?

I can't tell if my 68K miles is 168K or not but most things seems pretty clean and original so I want to address things as I go though the car.

Sure:

1) no need to remove the cover to the change the fluid.

2) beware of the 'while I'm at it' syndrome

LOL I'm way past that.
I wanted to de-rust and paint it anyway.

While I'm at it, I basically already have the rear out of the car and not sure if it needs any rebuild.
