Default Need help sorting heater control vacuum lines

Studying page J142 of the ASM, for my 69 no a/c car, I see the vacuum lines and I think I understand the purpose of some of the lines, but I seem to have an extra vacuum line.
The extra line goes through a grommet, viewed from the passenger seat, just above the heater plenum, just to the passenger side of center. Where does this line go? I can pull a vacuum on it, but it doesn't seem to affect anything. Is it going to a heater valve inside the heater box?
It isn't on page J142.
How is it to be hooked up?

What color is the vacuum line? If its tan and hard then it goes to the heater control valve on the pass. side of the engine.

Ah ha!
How funny!
It is the vacuum feed line. The grommet on the fire wall was melted and had sealed off the end of the vacuum line. There was no line hanging out on the engine side of the firewall - it looked simply like a bump on the texture.

So a non a/c car doesn't have a heater water control valve? Hot water circulates through the heater core all the time?
I see in some of my searching research that other owners have installed a control valve to keep the heat out of the car.
I'm in Dallas. Seems like a dang good idea to me.

The air valve on my car is questionable.
This the the device with a red vacuum line on the driver's side and a blue vacuum line on the passenger side. When vacuum is applied to the red side, the device moves. But I can't pull vacuum on the blue side???? Isn't there just one diaphragm thing inside this device?
I tried different vacuum line just to make sure the blue line hasn't failed.

Are you talking about the vent hose for the wiper arm relay.. Upper left corner in the picture.... If so, this is just a vent hose for the valve and went no where after it came through the grommet.
