body mount problems
Hello Members, I am in the process of doing the body mount and don't know why the frame lifted off the jacks on the side I am doing first. I removed the front bumper and front mounts from frame. I also disconnected the master cylinder, the steering rag joint from column, the column from the inside firewall, the mounts to the back bumper, side rail,body mounts ground strap, antenna strap, sill plates ,clutch cable and the body has lifted a bit but the frame also has come off the jacks. If you think of anything else I`m listening,

Hello Tampa Jerry, I found and took out a cable attached under the drive shaft with two bolts to body and one to cross member. I also had took out #2 body mount on opposite side that I was keeping in loose to keep some kind of alignment.I started working on the drivers side and now the only mount is the broken mount#3 and thought I was getting progress by heating with a torch and turning out with visegrips but the caged nut has come loose, I am thinking I might have to grind the cage edges off of the cage to get the nut out and clean the nut out and weld the nut back in. If anybody has better advise, I could use some Thanks ZAPPAREX
