heater/ac air box
this jagged piece of metal in that goes into the heater/ac air ducts. does it really need to be there????? seems you would have better and more air flow if it were removed since it is riveted in!!!!!!!!! any suggestions. thanks, nv

some have the large sheet metal shown in your picture, some don't.
