The windshield trim on my 77 is supposed to be black painted stainless steel according to the information that I could find.
The black paint has worn off over the years and so now you can see the metal below the paint.
Instead of trying to paint the trim pieces or replace them with reproductions, I am wondering if I should have them removed and then powder coated black.
If on tight and secure, I wouldnt take the top trim peice off. Prep them as needed, mask it off and pick up a rattle can of some satin black spray paint and you are good to go. They will look brand new again.

Okay, thanks for your responses. I think the Rattle can will do the trick. I will be happy if the paint lasts 10 years. That is probably good enough to keep me satisfied even if I have to paint it again.
