Default Corvette 1973 in Massachusetts. Help please!

Hello everyone!

First off:
I'm an american currently living in Germany and a few years back I started being fascinated by Corvette C3s
The lovliest car ever built if you ask me!

So I've been looking around for quite some time and I found something that might fit my needs! Sadly it's halfway across the world ...

Does anyone here know of any person (professional or non professional... as long as they know how a Corvette is supposed to look from the inside) that lives near Worcester in Massachusetts? Of course I would be willing to pay said person. I just need someone to have a look at the car and let me know if it's a good deal or not... I don't really want to have to fly to the states in order to look at a car.

I know I'm asking alot, being a complete stranger in these forums =(
I just thought I'd come out and ask...

Thanks in advance for any replies!

Greetings
Mike

I think there are a few issues with this, first being it is a lot to have to trust someone's opinion on a car, that you are, regardless buying sight unseen. There could be issues with the car that may not be determined during the inspection, when you have someone look at it.

It may be easier for you to make connections if you are truly in the market and get involved with the forum, learn more about the cars and talk with members here.

Another thought would be to buy a good car in good condition from a forum member as many people here have great reputations.

Regards, Tim

Thanks Tim!
Well the car I'm looking at seems to be completely restored (frame off Restauration). Basically I would just need someone with a bit of expertise go check it out and see if what the seller is promising is actually true and if the car even drives...
I've been on the German corvette forum a while now and tbh I trust most anyone who would be willing to look at the car for me. And if someone is just plain evil and wants to play a prank on me, then its simply my own fault for being so naiv

And i am definitely in the markets. I almost bought a corvette from Texas a couple of days ago, but was convinced otherwise by my friendly forum buddies. Said car was a bit too rusty for my taste!

Well I will definitely keep my eyes open for 1973 corvettes on this forum! If you know someone who is selling then please don't hesitate to let me know!

Still I hope I can find some friendly dude near Worcester Massachusetts =P

If you don't find someone via this forum to help, search the web for Corvette clubs near Worcester. If you find one, make contact with them and ask if they know of an NCRS member who knows '73s. I did this on one long distance purchase I was contemplating before I found my current '73. I made a deal with a club member to check out the car but the owner wouldn't cooperate once he found out I had an NCRS guy coming to take a look so I crossed that car off my list.

California is a long way from Germany, but 73's in this condition are a long way from every where. For sale on this forum...

I think picking out a few cars in one region of the USA , say east coast and plan a trip to visit and go see a few Corvettes . might b a fun trip.

If the car had a frame-off restoration the seller probably has a lot of pictures. That in itself is not positive proof because people have been known to lift pictures from other sources. If a shop did the work do you know the name? There aren't that many Corvette specialists in Mass., and there aren't that many people that are as crazy as me to do it themselves.

Worcester is kind of a long drive for me or I'd offer to have a look at it. Try posting in the Regional forum and you might find someone closer. I know there are forum members from around that area.

Default corvette restorer

Mike,
Try contacting Ron at www.ronsautorestoration.com
His shop is less than 20 miles from Worcester Ma.
He may be the one who restored car?
