If it is powered by a 1969 "sandcast" 750K0 the engine alone (not running) is worth about 1K by itself. I can see way more in parts than the asking price in todays market. Never mind "WHY"... if it were accessible from Savannah I would be in full tilt negotiation mode on this one!
I think we have to consider the alternatives also.
What if this was a totalled 69. Or one with a fire in the engine bay,
or so much rust in the bird cage that it could not be saved.
Yet someone is still making it into a "piece" of corvette legacy.
Like it or not....people will still consider it more vette than honda.

Based on the era of the paint (or at least what's left of it) I doubt that project started life as a repairable Corvette.
Keep in mind,...during the late seventies thru the eighties,...an older C-3 was just an old cheap car. They werent considered classics or collector cars.
In 1982, I bought a 1970 convertible 4spd, decent looking, running and driving car with a new top for $2,400.00. I drove it for a year and sold it for $2,100.00.
Less than an hour away from me. I'd like to buy it just so I can burn and bury it...unfortunately I'd need an enclosed trailer as I wouldn't take the risk of someone seeing me hauling it.
