Ok, so I bought a motorcycle a month ago (I'm 17). A few days back I got an offer for a lifted dodge, so I took it because of the great deal. Now i was offered a trade for a mint 79 vette. Being a corvette I thought to myself "if only i could afford the insurance", but then i went onto Hagerty.com and got a quote for under $500 a year for the car, and just couldn't believe it. Is that anywhere close to the truth? I know i can't get it insured by them until I'm 18, but i put 18 in the quote. Thanks everyone!
If you never drive it to work, never leave it parked outside unattended, only drive it for pleasure less than 3k miles per year, than yes. Being 18, I don't see that happening, but I could be wrong.
Well i work a mile and a half away, and my school is 5 miles away. My brother checked and he drove 2 thousand miles last year, and I don't drive much more than that. Is the low miles driven the reason it is so low?
So it's more complicated than just driving less than a certain number of miles. That's as specific about where you drive it that the Hagerty online quote went.

"We believe cars are made to be driven. So our policy allows limited pleasure use with no fixed mileage limits. Whether it's a drive on a gorgeous summer day, a trip to the ice cream shop, attending club events or going to shows, you're covered. If you have specific questions about usage, especially if you own a newer vehicle (generally 1990 and newer), we're happy to discuss them with you."
So what is covered if you get T boned at the grocery store parking lot?
