Default Checking in

Been away for awhile and just checking in. Work is crazy, life is crazy and a month or so ago, had to step away from the 74' or better yet, back away from it. In our short time at the shop we've had success with other vehicles, including the 95' C4, the 64' C2, but the 74' C3, has proven to be a real challenge.

It's the difference between picking up a woman in a nice part of town, versus the trailer park. And I got the trailer park C3. Just about done, but it is amazing how just about every single part on this car was broken! Even the spring for the gas pedal was busted! It did come with a whole new rear suspension, brakes, calipers and exhaust system and it did run and drive (sort of). Everything else, pfft!

I can imagine the places it's been in stashed in SoCal, side yards, the occasional garage, the backyard, the back of the auto lot and a whole long line of grubby mitts have had their hands on it. It's one thing to take on a car, that's a factory original and now it's just slightly worn for worse, but nothing major, this 'vette wasn't that.

I swear what wasn't busted, was mangled, mashed or mauled. I'm still amazed and now I'm almost at the end. The end of my credit card limit, the end of my patience, the end of my life (can't do that, still owe on the other 'vette!). She's lucky I love her! I love you 'Sassy'!!! You bitch! You broke me! I am humbled. We're dropping her off the jacks this week and there's only a few more C-notes we gotta throw at her!
