I have a 68 roadster, drivers seat back seems to lean to the right like its broken or bent. Any body have any experience repairing seat frames?? Help wanted!! Buddy"
The back of the frame where the adjusting screws go can break. Most vendors like Willcox, etc. carry a piece that will go in its place without welding or any major modifications.
I just finished doing the seats in my 73. The drivers seat was all flimsy and had no support.
Found the seat frame was cracked clean through and the weld nuts for the bumpers were broken.
sounds like rebuild time
That's the seatback that takes most abuse... We lean, slide and generally mistreat it.... I had mine repaired and reinforced by the shop redoing the seat fabric .... Now I use the area between the seats to brace myself getting in ....
