Default Calling all "68" Guys...

Fella's , I have a few question to anyone with a fairly original 68.

I've been under my 68 for a few weeks now , detailing and generally cleaning , with a definite emphasis on cleaning what I have not renewing.
Now , whilst reading a thread by "Smartauto7" on his new 69 ,that's he's recently purchased , I was looking at his face book links of the car underneath, and noticed a few differences between his 69 and my 68.

Now that's not necessarily going to ring alarm bells as we know there were a lot of changes between the two years ,but I thought I'd throw it out there, and see if I could get some feed back from you guys , as to whether my car is missing some items , or in fact never came with them , at all.

I've taken a pic of a pic, from smartauto7's car, so please excuse the Quality.
You will notice that his 69 has 4 braces , running vertically down, from the chassis, 2 go to the center of the bumper-ettes, and 2 run to the license plate surround.
My car doesn't have any of these braces ,????
Can any one confirm if they are suppose to be there for a car assembled late 67......

Also, Question 2, can anyone advise me as to what color , my shock absorbers would have been from factory..?
The car has decals on the shock bodies , "EN" and "EP", however the shocks are not original, the decals are repro.
I have read somewhere on the forum, that lite blue was the original color, but I can seem to find the post again.

Any help would be great , if any has the info, or experience with.

Thanks Marty.

Your car should have all 4 braces. As for your shock color they were a med gray with some might say a blue cast, but clearly gray.

Thanks LPE, for the quick reply, so all 4 , for a 67.

Ok, looks like I have to add to the shopping cart then..

Did they have different colors for different suspension with the shocks.
Or just ONE color for all , in the year .??

Thanks again for your advise and help.

Marty.
