72 easy wiper override question
I have been having a battery drain issue for a while now. Some told me it could be the wiper override switch being left on.
On the wiper motor there is a rubber plug with red and white wires. With the key off there was 12 volts on one of the wires. I turned the override switch under the steering column the other way and this turned off the 12 volts going to that red white wiring feeding the wiper motor.
So was the switch on or off? Was there supposed to be 12 volts all the time at the wiper motor even with the car off?
Thanks
Watch this video and tells you how to test it. After I watched this video I would think the answer might be yes there might be voltage always on the positive side and the switch turns it on for the wiper speeds than regulates the speed.

I think you should isolate where the draw is coming from before tearing into the wiper system.
