hi everyone, I just installed a new wiper switch, now my dash lights stopped working any ideas of what happened, I have power in the circuit board, my blinkers and high beams indicators work fine and brake light, but no lights in cluster or in the center console, also my buzzer that goes off when the lights are left on is not working. and the switch I put in is no better, I thought I was buying a new switch but the delay arm is bent and it acts like one that has been rebuilt and still doesn't work any better than the one I took out. thanks, any ideas of what I am missing would be great.
Sounds to me like the fingers on the pcb might be touching at the connector. Sometimes the fingers can come loose or slide around when you plug in the connector and touch.. Have you checked it.

I have a second cluster that I got my new speedo from and plugged that in same result, checked the connection to make sure it was lining up right and it looks great, I just don't understand what I am missing, thanks so much for the advice on calibrating the speedo a few weeks ago, lines up perfect at 65-70 but a little slow at low speed I figured my spring is just wore out, but it works
Okay.. I'd go back to the switch. The reason I say this is that the interior dash lamps are powered up of the green wire from the headlamp switch. This wire runs to the fuse panel where it comes out as gray. This gray wire runs to the pcb connector and...... To the wiper switch (that one bulb in the back).... My guess is you have an issue with either the switch or the switch connector.
Now this could also be something going on in the delay controller too... so don't rule that out either.
Unplug the switch, see if you get your dash lamps back..

I have the dash back together now, but have a new wiper switch on its way, I wonder if I should add the new style delay relay so I can eliminate that to, but everything worked fine until I plugged the repop switch in
It's too late now, but I'd unplug the wiper switch and see if the dash lights work. The new delay modules are on long term back order... so we are (right now) in the process of making a functional replacement unit. We are a month from being done with this.
there was issues with the old switch, installed new one, and changed the panel lights fuse, and surprise dash lights came back, lol. but my wipers are still acting strange, now the delay kinda works, but the delay is super slow, and they stop in the middle of the swipe, and don't start moving again, and when they are running on regular or fast, they seem to be choppy, does that sound like the wiper motor is bad? since the delay relay is still some time away the only other thing I can do is change the motor, but if they wont help they why bother. any thoughts??
