Hmmm, the information above seems to be somewhat incorrect thinking.

Think about how many SBC race engines are out there that don't have heater cores in their race cars. The hoses to be looped or capped are connected to the heater core not the radiator.

My engine is custom built and there is absolutely no need to connect it to a heater core. In fact by disconnecting it I don't have to deal with the extra heat in the passenger compartment.

I got my aluminum pipe plug kit from S***** Racing. The plugs fit perfectly, but my intake and water pump are made by Weiand and Edelbrock so I'm not sure if the sizes are the same as made by GM.

I believe Corvette Central stocks plugs that will fit the stock intake and stock water pump.

I put valves on each line. that way you can open them up if some day you might want a defroster.
