Default Easy C3 Hood Replacement Procedure

Here's a nice, easy way, that we came up with at the Shop to hang the hood, drop it in and mount it. I used the T-Top straps and widened the two tabs, just a bit, and then hung the hood from the straps. Before I lifted it, I carefully centered it (this is actually the hardest part!) so that it was perfectly balanced.

It's like it was almost designed for this!

Use rags on the edges so that the tabs don't damage the hood.

You could push the hood all the way down, with one finger!

My shop partner, John, easily mounting the hood hinges. Nobody is struggling holding up the hood, while trying to start the bolts on the loose hinges, it was so easy!

Hood is done, just need minor adjustments and you're good to go.

Yep, Jeff, much, much easier! My partner was sick for a couple of weeks, but made it in to help on the install. I was actually going to do this myself and that's when I dreamed up this method to hang the hood, using the T-Top straps.

Very clever. It's always good to get more function from certain tools than what they may have been originally intended for.

Thanks for the tip!

Great use of what you have. I love it. I recently had my 12 year old daughter help me and she did a great job.

Default Engine lift

Engine lift might be the best tool around, I use mine to:

pull engines, duh!
pick up and mount outboard motors
third strong arm to pick up whatever
and finally to hang and clean deer, LOL's!
