Been thinking on this one a bit...good answers so far but I think I have the real answer to this major delimma....

It's a 350 with 427 decals......hence it was actually the ultra rare 427 small block!!!


Seriously.....He's not missing a tool, he's missing the whole freakin tool box if he thinks that's what he has!!!

GM used the 427 in the 6500/7000 series medium duty trucks until the early 80's. When he said he had a " '76 with a 427 in it" maybe he meant his farm truck. You could haul a lot of watermelons with those babies!

Yeah, but the block is different. They used the 427 in trucks even into the 90s with fuel injection.
