Can I revive an old thread here.
Old car is nearing completion but I've got an issue with the wiper switch.
The car is a 75, I've had the dash stripped and put it all back in. The switch wasn't fitted when i got it but when its all connected the only way the wiper operates is when you press the switch for wash/wipe?
Thought about that Mike, I'll need to try it at the weekend. hopefully heading to the paintshop on Monday...Nearly there. Not been on here much.
Just had its pre MOT (kinda like your inspection) and all its needing is some light adjustment and reverse and rear fog light installed. I'll do that when its getting painted

From experience, it is very easy to install wires out of order. The switch is rather touchy. A little WD-40 seems to help, as well as a diagram, and changing the position of the switches.
I got some good info from the guys at Wilcox.
