Default How to test a voltage regulator?

Is there any way to test the voltage regulator ? It's a 78 corvette. Thanks

Diode trio check
Rectifier is tested the same way.

Given that the regulator is integral with the alternator, take the unit to your FLAPS and have them test the whole thing.

Reference page13-15 reply #3 for the test of the regulator by grounding the regulator test tab through the D shaped hole in the rear of the alternator, if it is defective the voltage will not change if not it will go to full out put
