I noticed that last couple of drives in my 82 I have noticed a fast woop woop sound coming from my left front wheel. It's very faint and goes away when the brake is depressed. I don't have any pulsating coming from the pedal so I don't think it's the brakes but maybe?? Any ideas?
How often is the car driven? You may just be hearing the rotor slide against the pads as they seat themselves. Does it go away after the first few brake pushes? What condition are the pads in?

I drive it a couple times a monthor even maybe once every weekend. Pads look like they have alot of meat on them. No the noise doesn't go away.

Have you jacked up that corner and rotated the wheel by hand to see if you can hear/see anything? I don't think it's a wheel bearing because it would most likely vibrate and get worse when the brake is applied. Does the car grab or pull to the left?
Other may disagree with me, but the slightest brake drag is normal. (I mean the pad an rotor are just sliding over each other, nothing actually retracts the pad away from the rotor) When riding my Harley, I can kill the ignition and hear "SWISHISISISISISISISIHH" from the front pads as the rotor spins thru them. Unless your car is pulling, or the rim is overly hot from a short ride (Like 'OUCH thats hot') I think you are fine.
HOWEVER....these cars are notorious for brake caliper leaks. If brake fluid seeps onto your pads, they can swell a bit and rub on the rotor as described above. I strongly suggest you pull the calipers and look.

Also, tires that are slightly off-mould (not quite round once the tread wears down some) or worn enough that a tread wear bar starts showing can also cause noises. With the car off the ground at that corner, rotate the tire slowly from a point where you can watch the tread. Look for wiggles in the tread pattern as you rotate it. If the tread is not true then is can make noises. I still think you may have a wheel bearing or race starting to give up. A rough spot could be making the noise without other symptoms.
