I'm using the parts you fabbed to replaced missing sections around the grill area. Right now I'm looking on the internet for rubber diaphrams to rebuild the headlight actuators. IF I can find the right size, they are about $8 each.
There are plenty of vendors, but they do not list diaphrams by size
Since the car is on jackstands I also want to order new parking brake cables and install them before I begin finish-work on the nose/front clip.

Dave...that one looks similar.
The rubber is approx 1/32" thick.
The "cup" is approx 1 & 3/4" deep.................
The outside diameter of the diaphragm when installed in the "can" is approx. 6 & 1.4" across.....
Maybe your company has a catalog or website you can use to find a matching diaphragm for the Vette actuator.

Dave....it'd possible that it could work, but the hole in the center would have to be 1/4" diameter so it would hold a vacuum

if it works great, if not no harm no foul.

What happened was..........I am dealing with the V.A. Admin (It's on a Need-To-Know basis). They will tell me the results in 3-4 months...unless I throw a screaming fit.
I'll get my wife to call Monday...she can throw the best screaming fit you ever saw or heard. I love it when it's not directed at me.
On a humorous note, I asked my V.A. doctor about being treated before I begin urinating on myself because of the pain.
He replied "The V,A, has a Process"
(I thought / 3-4 months-yeah, I know...I starred/stared in that movie 3 years ago).
"I can give you pain meds."
(I thought / Opioids-yeah, I know.......)
"Your only option is to go to a local E.R. if the pain is unbearable."
I told him "Bye". I went to the E.R. They scheduled the MRI. Now the V.A. doctor has the results
ON A HAPPY NOTE,,,,All my small parts (for the car/not the spine) have been delivered to me-I can continue with the headlight vacuum tests and rebuild...
It's too bad my spine isn't up front where I can reach it...
I'd do the procedure Myself...Kinda' like working on Dash Harness Wiring.

Still no results on the MRI...which is not unusual for the V.A.
BUT....the headlight actuator diaphram(s) The Phantom sent me just arrived. I'll roll my way to the garage and see what it takes to make one fit the actuator halves. This should be FUN.

HEADLIGHT VACUUM TEST BENCH FOR DUMMIES (ME)
As I locate missing parts and repair inop. parts I will use the rocket-science test bench below (disregard the piles of PTSD tools/trash/etc.)
Headlights in Down-Position........
Headlights in UP-Position.........
Rear view................
Thanks WILLCOX for the diagram!
HEADLIGHTS! (pay no attention to the piles of stuff on the workbench behind the lights )...............
I need to find my headlight-over-ride under-dash switch/valve and two missing springs for the folding "arms".
I also need to rebuild the actuator by making a new threaded plunger and installing the new rubber diaphram.
The vacuum reservoir needs blasting/repainting.
I also need to build a YouTube Vacuum Pump to test everything as I do repairs.
That's my story...and I'm stickin' to it.

Since it's freezing in the garage I used a heat gun to quickly remove the 50 y.o. "leather-like" cover from one of the quarter trim panels.....
with the help of our lapdog.......
I removed the three round-head mounting bolts first........
Then, about 15 minutes with the heat gun to melt the original adhesive and pulled the cover off the panel.......
Laying out the new cover........
I will glue it onto the bare panel tomorrow once the garage warms up and repair the other trim panel
(time to find the winter propane heater).
EDIT: I found the other trim panel but it is damaged and needs some fiberglass work after I remove the original covering......
The panel on the right side is missing the big radius at the top. I will make an aluminum sheetmetal template using the left panel as my pattern...then attach the template to the right side panel and cover the aluminum with multiple layers of fiberglass mat to make it stronger than the original.
First....I have to "skin" it/remove the old covering.
Later, Ya'll !
Right side? interior panel getting prepared for re-covering...
I cut a piece of aluminum sheetmetal to the same shape as the other panel (mirror image) and super glued it to the fiberglass panel...then I covered both sides of the aluminum with 5 layers of fiberglass mat......
Because of the cold weather it took 24 hours for the fiberglass repair to harden..once it hardened I ground the rough edges to match the curves of the aluminum sheetmetal.......
To be continued............................... .................

I’m thinking wood stove addition in the garage is warranted.

O.C.B......I have an electric heater that will warm it up to 70*.....it takes about two hours. But the old spine is still hurting so I do what I can while in the house. I will add more pics to the previous Trim Panel repair post above to keep everything halfway organized.
