The d@$! Headlight switch - removing it
Any tricks I need to know? I have the dash pad out, in my lap, and I'm pushing the pin with the spring in, and can't get the **** out. What can Ido?!

On my 68, the headlamp switch failed because the panel light rheostat nichrome wire burnt out. They current flow in the interior lamp bright position will burn out the wire. I replaced the lamps in the center console and shift console with LEDs. I can still dim the tach and speedo lamps since I still have incandescent lamps in them. The LEDs greatly reduce current flow and the resulting heating to the rheostat. A good compromise I think. I have a blue interior. The center console and shift console LEDs are blue.
