Default Luggage Rack

I've done a search and have read a few luggage rack threads. I don't want to start another LR debate pro or con but in my Vette shopping the rack occasionally comes up. I'm not a big fan of the LR but if a car is right in most other ways it would not stop the deal. I have read in the other threads about removing the rack and plugging the holes. What is invloved and does any one have pictures of the plugged holes. I not talking about permanant body work, I hope to buy a car that never needs paint again, just temporary removal.

The rear of the chrome C3 is just so sexy, the LR is like granny panties vs a thong.

Here's what I did. I pulled the rack off and replaced all the wellnuts with new ones. I then used short (1/2" I think) polished, stainless thompson (square) head bolts and finish washers from West Marine.

Now my rack is easily re-added if I want/need. Yes, it's not as "slick" as a filled hole, but I don't have the skill for that to come out to a standard I would want, and the money to have it done is better spent elsewhere.

This solution was about $20. It's probably not "purist approved", but I don't care, it's my car, and I think it looks fine (and my opinion trumps everyone's when it comes to my car ). Better than with a rack, IMHO.
