I'm making the switch to bubble tail lights - how have you guys wired them to have all 4 tail lights act the same? I plan on getting a licence plate reverse light, FYI.
My kit came with installation instructions. Essentially the installation was scotch locks and pigtails. I did not cut my original backup light pigtails. Removed the lamps and taped the pigtails out of the way. If I want to go back to stock at some future date, the backup pigtails will be there.
I kept my original lamp assemblies. I suggest you do the same. They are not separate lenses.

Bought mine from one of the Corvette vendors...and it was 100% plug and play...put plastic bags around the back-up light connectors...future license plate project for me too...good luck!
The only issue I had was the color match on the wires. I followed the included directions and color matched the wires to the outer lights. Hooked everything up and the wires were backwards. My brake lights were the running lights and the running lights were the brake lights. Damn bubble lights were wired backwards internally.
Think my kit came from Mid America, not sure, they used the pig/tail clips but i had already hard wired mine years ago.
Will look for the instruction sheet tomorrow.
