Can any here post pics of the brackets for attaching the AC compressor with headers?
I wonder how the AC compressor brackets ment for use with headers looks like when the compressor installed in the engine compartment
Great if any here can post some picture of how the brackets/compressor assembly with headers looks like it would be great
I have a C2 but i am pretty sure a picture of a C3 with headers AC brackets is just the same

look at the two brackets on this link, go to the detail and look at the instructions, they have diagrams.

Looking at the picture from the instructions for the bracket used for attaching the AC compressor it is only the rear of the compressor it holds?
I found the picture to the right of a 1972 Corvette doing a image search on google

Maybe you could take a regular alternator "F bracket" and grind the welds out to separate it back into two pieces. Then you could cut some length out of the rear section and reweld the two pieces back together at the right distance and use a Header Power Bracket just the same way that you would mount an alternator with headers.

Toddalin. I suppose that might work
I have an old alternator bracket i can cut the weld on and check if it works with the Header Power Bracket i have(have not put the Header Power Bracket on the car yet)

I found this picture of an alternator bracket posted of a forum member some time ago that i had stored on my hard drive
I wonder if this bracket can converted to be used as a AC compressor bracket?
Not sure but i think this bracket may be a one only bracket but guess something like the bracket can be made for the AC compressor as well

I thought that the brackets was attached to the head but here i see how the front bracket is attached
Great that the front bracket is attached on the water pump
Is it usual to use 2 screws like on the picture to the right?

Is it original with 2 bolts(i thought that it was supposed to be only 1 bolt)that holds the belt to the bracket after you have added tension to the belt?

I found this picture for the AC compressor brackets for a C3
Are these brackets original for a C3?
There are no holes on the head on the engine on my car i can use for AC brackets and the fact that i have headers
What about using these brackets on a C2 or will the compressor be mounted to far forward?
Looking at the picture to the right it looks like that bracket is fastened in one of the water pump bolts and also the right side head

Hi guys! I recently joined (today) and I also recently purchased an 81 Vette from a friend... in pieces!!!! I mean... all piece were in boxes: interior, engine components, etc... all that was "in" the car was the block/headers. Everything else, pretty much, I had to assemble... well the suspension was in it, actually...
Anyway - it's almost all STOCK, except that I changed the intake to a Torker II and an Edlebrock carb. Oh - and it has headers instead of exhaust manifold... which I'm sure all of which affect answers to my questions below. Read on:
So... I'll get to the point, I promise! The bracket all made sense for assembly with a little trial and error and spacers and whatnot. However, I showed a mechanic buddy of mine the engine bay one day, and he said that the AC Compressor needed more support. So I poked around GOOGLE and landed upon the pictures TheSaint posted here showing the metal "bar" brackets. Once I saw this, I was like "Hold on! I saw these in some box somewhere!" and I found them. However... I cannot find WHERE they are supposed to attach. I'm going to dig out the old stock quadrajet intake and see if there was a mount point that not on this Torker II. But then there that one that goes from the bottom of the bracket to somewhere near the fuel pump on the block. I can't figure that one out, for sure!! I may not even have that metal-bar-bracket.. I have three. Only one I was able to finagle a hook up over to the thermo housing... not sure what good it may provide but figured something is better than nothing.
So maybe some of you have a similar set up (it's not really unusual, right!? Edlebrock carb, headers, intake... pretty typical "upgrades" IMO) Maybe there are some better aftermarket brackets I should consider for my recipe. I don't mind about stock/nonstock stuff. As long as it works and works well!!
I'll get a picture uploaded so you can SEE what I'm describing.
As always, TIA.
