I noticed the seam at the rear bumper early in the thread but was pleasantly surprised that was due to the bumper folding down as part of the tailgate. Neat!
The beachcomber example is one I've seen before but I like this one if only bc the OP styled it after the Hot Wheels model.
And a BBC in a S10 chassis? That must have taken some time to piece that rascal all together and have it work, as intended. Did I also notice that the transfer case gear selector is an old pinion gear from a differential? That's slick if your knee doesn't hit it. Yikes.
I like the body wrap too; instant paint job without the paint.
Overall, I like it. Like you said 4x4stingray, the body gets another chance on life, not only pavement but off-road too.
thanks guys! yea it took a while and a lot of researching and fab wrk to get it where its at now and still has a ways to go. still playing around with interior designs.
you know what I really like.....when I started on this forum had this been posted a zillion people would have had to trash and bash it, now 99% of the comments were positive and that is what car crafting is all about,
So i am happy that there has been a huge turn around in letting people build what they want and not trashing it just because.....
Thinking about modifying this s10 bumper for the vette
Try to trim it down to keep the brushgaurd below the top of the car / hood - nose body panels. Glass over the headlight holes, leave the bra off, looks like you already mounted headlights below but can integrate them into the new S10 brushgaurd.
Are you going to put on a winch or leave a mount for it?
Consider adding a snow plow mount while you are welding it together.
