Default I'm back

Left here for the C5 section when I sold my 81 and bought a 2000 Vert 5 years ago. Sold the 00 and just bought a 74 Coupe. Guess I just missed all the endless wrenching...lol.. Nice to be back..

At least we can wrench on our C3 - I like troubleshooting without a computer. I had an engine miss - oh look; plug wire laying on the header. My kind of fix...
Welcome back.

Welcome back to the fold! The 74' won't have the comfort of the '81, but should be fun, nonetheless. Don't worry about missing wrenching, you'll be in the thick of things, soon enough!

Thanks guys... been busy ordering parts. Starting with redoing the interior. Door panels, seats etc etc. She runs good but has power steering issues I have to figure out. Will change out my avatar pic soon.

Welcome back! Hope you'll be posting pictures of the 74 as you freshen her up. Curious to know what made you part with the C5. I realize the newer tech features was a different experience to wrenching, but was it more expensive and require as much or more effort to keep it on the road?

New Rookie to Corvettes says "welcome back"!

But.......does this make you an "old Rookie"?

Do I have seniority?

Iput 94000 on the C5 and had very little trouble or expense. I did have to replace some under dash A/C parts that were difficult to get to.
I have reoccurring pain from 2 left foot fractures and the clutch was getting to be a problem. Also bought a new Camaro for daily driver and it was time for another "toy" I could work on.

Welcome back GreenDream,

It's more gratifying to wrench your car and drive it. The newer computerized cars don't have the heart. Too simple to put in the key and drive away.

JMHO.

Wow, I don't even own a C3, never have, but I hang out here mostly.

I drive a C6 convertible.

What is wrong with me?

Welcome back, GreenDream. There's something about the curves on this genaration car that captures more than a little imagination. Hope you enjoy many, many hours of pleasure when you take the '74 out for a hop.

Nothing really. Maybe, you live vicariously through the blood, sweat, and tears that we experience when stuff needs attention?
