Motor and tranny out. I actually pressure washed the chassis and what a world of difference. No major rusted through issues to the chassis except for the two front body mounts. The car actually only had 13k miles on it. Shame it was left to rot. So I have found a few motors and am debating a bid block vs small block. Would like to do a manual transmission, but for the money to convert, I'll just find a 4 speed car next time around. Really leaning towards a built small block (327) with a turbo 400 and steep gears (3.90's, presently has 3.08's). Deleting the AC, heat and power steering. I don't plan on any long distance trips. This is basically a week-end project that might see a little 1/4 mile time. Would like the extra gear with the 700r4, but I'm not sure what all is involved in the conversion. I basically have a blank canvas here. So lets hear what ya think would be a good stop light to stop light set-up as far as motor, tranny and gears. I had to throw the second picture in there as it has been years since I've seen an original differential tag on a rear end still intact. It was actually covered in road grime, and I only found it after pressure washing.
