I think this is long overdue but I really need to thank SEVERAL members of this forum for all the help that you have given me on my mission to find my classic corvette. Some of which have worked with me offline and have spend a great deal of time looking through pictures and answering questions. That is so appreciated. Without you I really think I would have made some unwise choices. I have a list of members I like to personally thank in this thread. These are members that are simply engraved in my head because in one way or another they really imprinted on me and I am so glad you are helping me. I know there are some that are frustrated with me because it seems like I cannot make up my mind, but for every single car there has been a justifyable reason why i needed to walk away. I really am sorry to those that get frustrated with my posts but I hold no hard feelings to those individuals at all.
To date I still have not found the 1971 corvette I want but I still continue to strive to get one. I have come close a few times but no go. I enjoy my 2008 C6 convertible that I have very much but my heart is finding this classic. I have no problem pulling the trigger on newer model corvettes and have owned several. I have been all over the place on the web looking for a classic corvette. For some reason, it seems some folks have no issues pulling the trigger on one fast, but I lack that confidence without having details looked at closely and want to make certain it is as perfect as possible.
I want to thank the following folks. If I missed anyone please PM me and yell at me so I can apologize to you. I am taking a chance here but I really want to recognize these folks. In no particular order I thank the following for their service to the corvette community and me:

Searching for the "right one" is 60 % of the fun! Enjoy looking and learning. (the other 40%) is driving/cruising and getting ALL the attention and questions.
It actually took me about 3 years to finally pull the trigger on one.. All good things take time.
I think you are taking your time and doing all the research possible which is a great idea. I think when you hit the right car, you'll know it. The seller will make you feel very comfortible about the whole deal and it won't feel like you are trying to pull teeth to get an answer. It has to be a complete package deal to make it happen. Atleast that's what it took me to finally pull the trigger.
Just keep doing your homework and you'll find the one. Just don't settle for the wrong car because they it may spoil the whole experience..
Unless the situation calls for more expediency, patience can be a virtue to many. I wish you well in the search for the car of your visions.
Great crew helping you out too. Quite a bit of experienced talent condensed there.
Thank you much! Patience is what I have and time is a luxury I have.
There have been numerous offline interactions with forum members and for them to deal with my questions and concerns really is appreciated.
I also have to take what they say seriously. There have been on occasion where I disagreed but the reason I did not agree is because I didn't understand. After about the 6th time of them explaining it to me I finally got it and decided to not buy the car. If these members didn't give a rat's behind about me, they would have just told me to buy any of these cars presented and be done with me. These folks simply don't want to see me get hurt here. I am thankful for this.
Well I must say that this forum has saved me from disaster
from many of the named individuals above without
anyone even knowing it... I, too have been looking - for years..
cash burning a hole in my pocket is better than
throwing cash out the window....
I gotta throw " '75 " in there for the very recent awesome
pics and write up of a certain LT1....for some certain prospective buyer..
way to go forum....
Good luck in your search...

No, it's just that my mother taught me not to be nasty to men wearing tutus.
