Default Rubber Bumper Question

I am replacing both front and rear bumper covers with Truflex. My painter is painting my car body OFF the frame. So, if he fits the front and rear bumpers on the car (bolted on, not bonded), I don't see how the body will fit down on the the frame with the bumper covers installed.

Here are a few additional items. The front plastic honeycomb piece will NOT be installed, possibly not the front heavy license plate mount will NOT be installed, leaving only the front crosspiece the plastic honeycomb fits into. On the back, I figure the aluminum triangle piece that sits on the top of the bumper will NOT be installed.

With all this said, I still am thinking the body cannot be installed without removing at least one of the two bumper covers. Any thoughts? The guys who bond the bumper covers on must have a way, UNLESS they always bond these on with the body on the frame??

All the good body shops paint them separately and then install.

I appreciate the fact that some paint shops paint them off the car. The paint shop doing my work is a top notch, award winning shop, so they know what they are doing. And ultimately, they may paint them off the body....BUT, these comments do not answer my question. Can the body be installed on the frame with the front and rear bumper covers attached to the body?

I think you can with the front frame extension removed and the rear metal bumper and the impact absorbers also removed.

Body drop. Front cover not installed.

Note the clips holding rear cover open.

They painted them separately at St. Louis.
