It was probably located behind the tach/speedo.. as a substitute for the tach solenoid. This switch blocked vacuum when you turned on the wipers that ran to the wiper over-ride switch under the wiper arm on 69-72 and to the relay for the wiper actuator on 1968.

The switch was bolted to the fire wall as in the picture. The vacuum line between the wiper door actuator relay and the wiper door safety switch has been cut and this switch put in between. on another note My wiper door actuator safety switch has only 2 ports and the vent tube isn't hooked to anything. Should this switch be mounted inside the car with vacuum to the manual switch and teed off to the check value?
