Default Hey guys!! I am back!!!!

After 3 years of being "Vetteless" I am looking for a C5. I loved my 71 but the combination of 6 MPG and being 6'6" 245 finally got to me. But that car was a BEAST thanks to the help from the C3 community!

BTW, Has my 71 shown up on here?? I sold it to a Guy from New Jersey. He drove all night to SC to get it. He was a marine but I did not hold it against him, being a sailor....

I can relate, I'm also 6' 6". I hope my mileage is a bit better though ( I haven't computed gas mileage-didn't buy it for economy ).
Have fun in your new search-should be a lot more to choose from.

Welcome back Cotte.........I mean......BlackRat!

You need to post in the Tech. Forum so we can try to fix your height-problem.....LOL

I know exactly how you feel.......

Myself.....I can't reach the pedals at 5'8.

But seriously....would you be open to modifying the rear wall behind the drivers seat and brake pedal for more leg-room to make owning a Vette more "in"joyable?

(My F.I.L. is 6'4 and needs a shoehorn to get into my '34 pickup with the seat all the way back against the rear of the cab)

Do you have a solution for the width problem???

I already sold the 71. The wife is agreeable to the C5 since she can drive it. I still love the C3's and hope to get another bumper car one day.

Welcome back Good luck with the C5 search, should be lots to choose from.

I'm only 6' 2" and its tough to get in - especially with the top up. Never mine the extra "width"

Wait, 6mpg? What engine were you running? I'm sure you can get that over 10 unless you're running something crazy, lol.

LOL, must be pretty crazy. I was getting 10mpg around town on my 454, aiming for low teens around town and high teens highway now that I've started playing with it.
