Default 72 vs 73 side markers

I have a 71 vette and i am missing the front side marker lights. the ones in the fender that rectangular. I didnt realize that they are like 50 bucks a piece. I noticed the later years, 73-78 are cheaper. They look the exact same. Would this work on a 71? If not do you guys have any cheap suggestions for temporary lenses? I have a driver so i dont want to spend 50bucks for my car lol thank you

If it's a driver I would consider used markers...

I think the 70-72s have a slight curve to them , while the later ones are flat.

Got a salvage yard near you? You will probably find the stock 71 markers were used on other GM cars. The four on my 68 came from a salvage yard Nova.
