My 79 wiring diagram shows that light green wire as neutral safety switch, so I'd side with Wilcox on this one.

you have auto or 4 speed..
The connector is for the manual shift cars.. lol..
The main harness came ready for both cars.. mt or at... based on what you had is how you plugged the car in.
Make sense? I hope so.. it's late and by gosh momma is giving me the stink eye cause she has me a cold one on the bar up-stairs...
Better get to moving.
But you'll be okay the way it is.

Warm brew, regardless of whether the numbers match, can always be put back in the cooler or in the fridge.
