Default Wilcox vs Wilcox on eBay ??

Guys I don't know if this issue was brought up? Why is it that Wilcox sales the same parts cheaper on eBay than on their site or to us?

For example the 1978-1982 window track repair kit on eBay at $41.99 on their site $54.99 and the weather strip door main D344L-R on eBay at $71 on their site $79

I was making a shopping list for this winter ( waiting for their next special)
When I noticed that we can buy on eBay cheaper anytime!

What's up with that Wilcox?

Have you contacted Willcox? Ernie and the bunch are regular contributors here.

That doesn't explain the cheaper e-bay prices

for that answer you will have to ask Wilcox, I was just pointing out they wind up with less money on top of cheaper prices selling on ebay.

That means that it should be more on eBay to compensate for the fees - they are "buy now" prices....

I think it's some sort of system for making money. I've heard of some companies doing that - part of some vast right-wing, greedy capitalist conspiracy!

To heck with those people that want to make money! And then keep it for themselves!

That is strange that it is cheaper on ebay though.

i like buying off ebay for when i need a single parts, if you buy multiple parts, it ends up being cheaper from the website after shipping

If we're being honest I might as well say something too.

Their website with the different 10% or forum sections, sales section, clearance, regular section, combined with their monthly? sales was just too confusing for me and too hard to find what section the part is actually in that I wanted.

Plus if the sale had to do with free or reduced shipping I was weary about it since it doesn't show up in the cart...I'd have to trust I did everything right and hope I get the free shipping.

I like you but sorry...way too confusing for me.

79... Thank you for letting me know this issue was out there!

Our Ebay department is a separate division from our regular store and web site. It is worked and maintained by a single person who's job is to get the product out there. With over 550 listings it's pretty hard to make sure that each one is priced accordingly.

With most items, the standard 10 coupon code we offer daily for forum members is enough to still beat the eBay price and if not the 15 we've been having on the weekends usually smokes it.. but there can and will be issues when we have to compete with China made products.

I've made the corrections to the items you questioned, all door mains on eBay are now 79.00 and the window kit is now 54.99. Should you find more issue's please feel free to let me know by emailing me direct at Support@Willcoxcorvette.com

Thank you,

Ernie

We are doing away with the forum special price section... It is causing too much confusion, I agree.

The package buy three of five shipping deal was something that was offered to us by the manufacturer. We were just passing it along to you guys to help you with the expense of shipping. It seemed like a good idea... and if you purchased three of the five items you got free shipping on those items. It was discontinued two months ago by the supplier as it was dropped.

Well that sucks! I liked the forum section. It was like the bargain basement room and was easy to use in my opinion.
Plus it was like getting a double discount when buying from the forum section and using the 10 or 15 code.

Hum.. I liked it too.

People just didn't seem to understand that the items in this area were already bottomed out.. and not available for the additional huge discounts offered on the retail side of the site.

The interior 20 sale two weeks ago was a nightmare for me and for the rest of the staff because it generated hate mail and aggravated calls because... even though we put on the coupon code "not available for forum special section" people kept trying to use it for items in there. You'll notice that the carpets, seat covers and door panels are turned off.

I'll think about this a bit more before I make a final decision.
