I like the clean look with no emblems

I did have the "corvette" on the tail light panel & 454 on the hood airbrushed in

And have the billet gas door lid made by "big632".. Some one here was making a similar one last year IIRC.

looks cleaner without all the chrome gills, and stingray emblems. That's why a '68 is the cleanest of all C3's.

I don't see a lot of antennas in these pictures. What did you all do for radio reception?

I run a Dakota digital hidden antennae. You can see it hanging down in this picture (Before I stuck it on the windshield)

Have the same one one in the Mustang in the background. Both are on the upper right hand corner of the glass

I have all emblems removed and holes filled on my '69, except for the gas door.

Well.... Mine may not be as nice as any other vette in this thread but here's what I'm dealing with right now...
Front one glassed smooth.

Definitely going to do the sides and antenna and gas tank lid(metal...not sure how yet). Not too sure about the rear lettering yet... Pretty sure I'll keep those so why waste money one stick on ones?

Question:

Is the back gas lid aluminum or metal?

If it's metal I can just weld it some to fill the holes. Not sure what I'd do if it's aluminum.

I'm not there yet, but I'll be running C6 rear lettering, side stingrays and not top badges.

And BTW, if you are interested in the LeMans style gas cap, they can be had in a direct bolt-on for under $300US from Mustalgia.

Except for the "C O R V E T T E" on the rear, I will be keeping the rest of mine off. Will save time and $$$

I removed the rear letters on my '72 many years ago. BIG MISTAKE! I have people coming up all the time asking "what kind of car is that?" Think I'll put them back on this winter.
