I run 255/60R15's on the factory 8" rims with no interference issues. 255/60 was the standard tire size from '78 to '82. Problem is that just about everyone has stopped production of that size except for BF Goodrich, so choices are narrowing. Unless you're going to a wider aftermarket rim, 255mm is about as wide as you can go on the factory rims without sacrificing handling and tire wear.
Ive got 295/65/15 on the back of.my car it had 305/50/15 when I bought it they were insanely wide. That said I have no idea how wide my rims are they are very ugly 80s rims lol
Wow! No offense, but I couldn't agree more! Them're probably the ugliest-*** rims ever designed. What was the previous owner drinking (smoking?) when he put those on? Must have thought they looked cool on his lifted S-10 before he wrecked it and thought "hey, why not"?
