Nobody repro's the molded insulation, and it hasn't been available from Chevrolet in many years.
The 78-79 Corvettes used a shorter version, of the same insulation pad used on 76 and 77's. GM discontinued the longer pad in the early 80's. After that, if you went to a Chevy dealer and ordered a new insulation pad for your 76, you received the shortened, 78-79 version.

hood insulation
right now there is a factory origonal a guy has on ebay for 299.00 and 94.00 shipping. i think it is way too high and the shipping is way too high. i offered him the asking price if he would not charge the shipping and he said no. his other items are priced too high too i think.
