Need help I am on the fence on what sound deadener to use. I have been looking at dynamat, hushmat or the foil back that the car came with. And do I need glue on any of these products. The dynamat and hushmat does not say anything about fiberglass.

Usually you use various products. Second Skin has a kit for vettes. I also like to start off with lizard skin.

You should not need to glue them in and if you do choose to glue them in only put medium grade contact cement on the edges of the mats to hold them in place while you lay down the new carpet. This will keep them from moving and binding than let it sit for a few hours before installing a new carpet.

I would choose one that removes heat from the under belly of the car and not allow the heat come up through the underbelly of the car. Sound proofing is a thicker pad and most of the heat shielding pads will deaden the sound almost as good as the others. My preference would be a heat shielding pad over dead sound pads. The tranny and exhaust system will put a lot of heat into the cabin of the car.

I used http://www.alsliner.com/alsHNR
under the car and next time I pull the interior out will be doing the floor boards, and then a padding also. It helped with the heat, as for sound I cant compare as my exhaust drone like crazy.
