What is it that you want to remove rust from?
I soak nuts, bolts, and other small stuff in heated vinegar, but there are many chemicals like Ospho, depending on your application.

Evaporust is great. It does an excellent job of lifting away all the rust without damaging your part. My only complaint is that it gets used up fairly quickly. I have been meaning to try and run it through a micron filter, but have yet to do so. I think this would help restore the solutions effectiveness.
