Is the only difference between a front and rear C3 brake rotor is the adjuster holes in the rear? It appears the deminsions are identical. No luck with the search function here.
Thanks in advance.
Do you mean like a rear rotor can fit on the front, but a front rotor won't clear the caliper on the rear?
Steve
No. From what I have seen on the Forum before, neither will interchange. Offset of hub to center of rotor edge is close but not the same. Guys have mistakenly installed front to rear and rear to front with caliper fitment issues. Again I am not the expert, just letting you know what I have seen before. I will see if I can find a pertinent thread. mike...
There's about .100 different in the thickness where the studs go though, it creates an "offset" difference between the two.
IIRC the front will go on the rear (completely wrong and screwed but will clear) but the rear will hit the caliper on the front
front is .388" thk, rear .250" thk
One way or the other, rear on rear, front on front

After I replaced the parking brake linings, I put on a rotor. The caliper (with new pads) bolted on fine, and the hydraulic line threaded into the caliper with no problem (which I thought was the only tough thing about the job). I then went to bolt on the wheel. NO GO! It's as if it's jamming up against the caliper as I bolt down the wheel.
I'll attempt it again, as maybe it's not binding on the caliper, but perhaps the P.B. linings aren't retracted as much as they could be. I did expand them a bit, as the rotor seemed to go on too easy at first.
