Hi

I used AlKNoch leather covers and foams and am after 5 years of use still very happy.
Did the install myself and also installed headrests .

Here a pic of my old vinyl seat ( left ) against the new leather seat ( right ).

My vinyl was still OK, actually very good, just wanted the headrests and thought that new covers didn't cost the world.

I would again go for the leather. Much nicer feel to sit in and not as hot as vinyl in the sun.

Rgds. Günther

I redid my 74 with new foam and leather like vinyl from Corvette America. Very satisfied with the results.

blue by you and Green Dream--from what I learned these are the same vendor and glad you are happy with the results. Green, I am perplexed by the leather like option? This looks like leather without the basket weave pattern, correct?

Thanks to everyone for the pics and tips--you're the best.

In support of the vendors on this amazing forum, I selected Corvette America's paypal option--least expensive for seat foam plus shipping and chose Paragon's (AK) brand for vinyl covers. After seeing all the photos and reading your comments, the leather option was very tempting.

Very, very pleased with the vinyl seat covers ordered through Paragon--AK brand. Finished the driver's seat today and it's back in the car, I'll send a pic when finished with the passenger seat.

Of all the projects I've attempted so far, the difficulty of recovering the seats and new foam gets a 1 wrench out of 5, with a magnitude 5 equal to rebuilding my trailing arms and rear end.

Add one more for Al Knoch.
About 7 years ago, I had my leather seat covers replaced in my '72.
At that time, I asked this forum which vendor should I use. Half of the replies came back for Al Knoch, the other 50% were divided amongst the rest of the popular vendors.
At that point, it was a no brainer. They look & feel fantastic to this day.
