Heater Core Bypass
Hi guys, on an 82 Corvette I want to bypass the heater core without noticing it from looking under the hood. From underneath the car, if I cut the 2 hoses coming off of the heatercore lines (inlet/outlet) and using a nipple connect the hoses together, will this succesfully bypass the core and complete the circulation cycle? Yes that will work. I had to do the same thing 8 years ago when my heater core started to leak. I drove the car for the rest of the summer before I replaced the heater core in the fall.

Yes, that will work. Just find a way to keep those hoses from dragging on the road.
