Default Heater Core Bypass

Hi guys, on an 82 Corvette I want to bypass the heater core without noticing it from looking under the hood. From underneath the car, if I cut the 2 hoses coming off of the heatercore lines (inlet/outlet) and using a nipple connect the hoses together, will this succesfully bypass the core and complete the circulation cycle? Thanks for your help and happy new year!

Also connect together the two "loose ends" of the heater hoses which you cut that connect to the firewall (to keep dust/bugs out of the heater core/valve).

Yes that will work. I had to do the same thing 8 years ago when my heater core started to leak. I drove the car for the rest of the summer before I replaced the heater core in the fall.

Yes, that will work. Just find a way to keep those hoses from dragging on the road.

I do not know why you object to keeping it simple: waterpump to intake.
