there are a couple of reasons why I started thinking about getting a corvette after loving them since the 70s....one of them was this spring we had an incident w/ some teen drama with one of our carpools for sports...after that incident i told myself: i'm done w/ carpools & if i got a vette, i could just say: sorry, only room for my kid, bye!!!!
good ol' two seaters. they are problem solvers. The only problem I see is if your a young male and single and see two cute girls walking by and can only take one
Great stories, I graduated in 75 and blue is my favorite color so that is why I have mine. Of course no way to afford one back in those days and the days of raising a family until getting two of my three kids out on their own.. The lines are just plain sexy. Think I'll go sit in it right now!

That's a great looking convertible. I'd sit in it too
As i just turned 50 everyone thinks it's a mid life thing but in reality its what I have always wanted and I am in a position to make it happen soon I hope.
I was asked if mine was a mid life crisis and I said I hope, because if 45 was mid life I will live till 90
Why not a later model C3 they are inexpensive to purchase and only require $2000 to $5000 to fix up depending on the condition you buy them in. If it needs more than $5000 grand and it is bad condition the price goes down in a Fair condition 1974 to 1982 C3 it should in the price range of $3000 to $7000 depending on the work needed. Good Condition raises it between $7000 to $10,000 depending on the needs. High mileage originals without suspension maintenance and engine high mileage I would not purchase for more than $6000 if the interior it still good.
I purchased my 1977 for $9000 with very good leather seats and some sun fade on the carpets, steering wheel. door panels only have a few very small age cracks and I see them selling anywhere from $9000 to $22,000 grand. Now they are really worth about $15,000 to $16,000 in prime condition. I have already put about $2000 into mine will take me about another $3000 to complete it like new. It only has at the moment I just turned over a little over 47,000 original miles on the engine and drive train but it sat for many years so I can drive it with I put into it but still needs work. When I am done but will never sell it will be worth $16,000 to $17,000. I will never sell but know what I can get for it in 5 years. I will drive it until I die That is why we love corvettes.
