Mechanical Fuel Pump Question....
Is it possible for the mechanical fuel pump to go bad a leak gas into the oil? Is there some kind of diaphragm inside the pump that can break? I noticed that when I changed the oil in my 81 that the oil seemed kind of thinned out. Plus, there was a slight smell of gas in the oil. The oil only had about 1000 miles on it and the fuel pump only has about 1500 miles on it. TIA
