Default Finally got my vector wheels.

Finally found me a set of Vector wheels I could

they are 15 x 8.5. Got them for $315 including shipping Excellant shape just no caps. Not sure if they are American racing brand, but dont care. Always loved the look of these on a vette. Gives it a pissed off look.

What I love about these old wheels is that they have that old school style that really look like they belong on the car. The only downer is lack of a really good performance tire to go with them. BFG and Firestones are the only 2 that look good if you go with the raised white letter. And they are OK, but cannot compare to what a 17" or 18" hi perf summer tire will give in terms of grip.
It's a trade off, and if you are just cruisin to shows and stuff, a great way to go.

Look like Western Cyclones. AR Vectors usually have painted centers and in between the vanes. /:\

I think the western cyclones have the flat centers, from the ones I have seen. These that I bought look like they have been spray painted.

I'm pretty sure the ones I had on my car (pictured) came bare, and that they were American Racing.

I could be wrong; I've slept since that decade.

Here's an ad/label from the era:

They normally go for about $300-400 for a good set with caps, and then there is shipping cost involved unless its local. These I found for 265, but got him to go 235. then 80 for shipping.

This style of wheel is always a good choice on a Vette. Truly a timeless design.

"Scrappy76", nice Vectors, enjoy! Yours look like the original American Racing Vectors.
I got mine in 76, 8.5 in front. 10" in back.
Vectors always look good.

I Think they are american racing brand too. The guy was calling them " western bullets". They are not western bullets. actually like the Aluminum look more than the black center and in the rims. I will probably strip them of the paint and get them polished and coated. Will see

By the way Awesome looking vette, love the color. I have chrome sidepipes, will look nice with the aluminum rims once their on.

That is a great looking wheel. Wonder why no one has made a modern version say in a 17 or 18 inch.
